In general, the definitions of corporate governance can be classified into two groups: the "narrow" definition and the "board" definition. Both deninitions have the common idea of accountability.
The narrow view:
Corporate governance is the accountability and relationship between a company and its shareholders.
Corporate governance is the ability of a country's laws to protect minority shareholders.
The board view:
Corporate governance is the accountability and relationship between a company and its stakeholders: sharerholders, employees, customers, suppliers, bondholders and the society in general.
