VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) is a set of hosts that communicate with each other as if they were connected to the same switch (as if they were in the same domain), even if they were not in the same physical location and not in the same location. connected to the same switch. Types of VLAN:

  • Static VLAN's
  • Dynamic VLAN's
Static VLAN: can be created by providing a name, a VLAN ID and by assigning a port to it.
Dynamic VLAN: are created by storing the hardware addresses of host devices in a database so that the switch can dynamically assign the VLAN at any time when joined.

VPN stands for virtual private network which is made to give you the privacy online. VPN allows you to connect via unsecured network and gives your local network the ability to stay private and makes your location private. The data being sent and receive become encrypted and you are surfing anonymously and enhance the security of your network

How VPN Works?

A VPN adds and extra server which means if you open propatel.com it will not directly hit to the web server first it goes to VPN server and then original server and replies you back. Which means another PC is added between you and the address you want to hit.
