The key difference between IoT and M2M is that IoT or the Internet of Things uses wireless communication while M2M or Machine to Machine can use wired or wireless communication. The IoT connects smart devices to the network to collect data, analyze and make informed decisions, while M2M allows devices to communicate and perform the required action without human intervention.

Today, the world is more connected than ever. The advancement in technology not only connects people, but also devices and machines around the world. IoT and M2M are two technologies that improve productivity, efficiency, accuracy and improve the overall quality of life. However, M2M and IoT are very similar, but IoT is the latest technology. What is M2M ??
M2M is the connection and communication between two or more devices. It uses shared information. Usually, devices such as sensors and monitors collect data and send it to a central application. Apart from that, it uses automatic software programs to allow networked devices to understand data and make useful decisions. This technology was developed before IoT. However, the two are very similar but the IoT is the last.

Remote monitoring uses M2M a lot. In product monitoring, several machines can exchange data on new products, products out of stock. Robotics, warehouse management, supply chain and logistics management are the other areas that use M2M communication.
